Tzedakah is a not just charity but a way for all of us to experience helping to make the world a better place.

As you give tzedakah at minyan please consider the programs you are supporting

HBT School Tzedakah program 5768. This year the recipients will be:
: The Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy - a coalition of Jewish organizations, synagogues, and day schools who have joined together to work toward ending the problem of illiteracy among our community’s children. Through long-term sustainable partnerships, hundreds of volunteers participate each year in our efforts by tutoring, donating books, and advocating to improve public education. \; We will take the money we collect this year and buy books requested by the Conley School in Roslindale for their school library.; AND; The Galilee Circus - sponsored by Makom Bagalil. This wonderful program aims to bring kids together from Jewish and Israeli Arab homes by learning circus tricks and by performing for their home communities. Based in the town of Carmiel, the Galilee Circus aims to bring the two communities together by teaching friendship and co-operation through the performing arts. This is all within the context of an organization that promotes building bridges and values education in Israel.
