High Holy Days at HBT 2023/5784

This year, our High Holy Days will be led by our interim Rabbi Sarah Noyovitz. Rabbi Noyo is approaching services with us with the deep intention of making sure it truly feels like HBT High Holy Days. There will of course, be some new tunes and material, and Rabbi Noyo will also be bringing their guitar, but they want to keep many of the familiar and beloved traditions that we have created over the years. We hope you'll join us for this special High Holy Day season as we prepare for the transitional year ahead.

We will be using the Reconstructionist Machzor (prayerbook) Chadesh Yameinu, Renew Our Days, as well as a supplementary booklet. Prayers will include English readings, Hebrew prayers, English translations of prayers, and transliteration for those who do not read Hebrew.

We intend to keep services accessible for those who will not attend in person by continuing to provide Zoom links. If you plan to participate remotely, you can pick up your book at the temple or download a Machzor PDF and view our participation resources. We look forward to bringing you close and shining a bright light on our world for the year 5784.

Please throw away your trash and leave it clean for the next person that will use it.Their will be Lulav and Etrog in the Sukkah for anyone interested in coming to say the blessings.

Pumpkins return to the temple for Sukkot, and you can win one to take home as a prize!

Help raise funds for our beloved temple and decorate your doorstep with a giant pumpkin. Or join the raffle to win a squash, a small pumpkin, or corncobs.

Prizes will be awarded after dancing with the Torah scrolls on Simchat Torah night, Saturday, October 7, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
