We recommend arriving on time, as the most musical portion of the service will take place from 10:00–11:15am. This part of the morning will include Anat’s original music, Yemeni song, and our familiar HBT melodies, offered through enhanced instrumentation.
The Torah service will begin around 11:15am, when we will begin reading from the Book of Exodus together.

On Saturday, January 10, our Shabbat morning davening will be led by Anat Halevy Hochberg, a gifted local musician, teacher, and ritual leader whose work many in our community already know and love. Anat’s music brings warmth, depth, and joy, and we are excited to welcome both familiar and new faces into our sanctuary with her.
Many of us experienced Anat’s powerful Yemeni song concert at Nehar Shalom, where she was joined by Yoni Battat and our own #FourthFridays drummer Matt Meyer. Others heard her beautiful musical leadership at Rabbi Aliza’s installation this past spring. We are so glad to welcome her back to HBT.
As we begin the Book of Exodus, this service will follow our familiar HBT Shabbat rhythm, with enhanced song, Shabbat oneg (delight), and some of Anat’s original music woven in.
