Membership Renewal Made Easier
Renewal is completed in the Member Portal. Please read through the instructions below, then click the button at the bottom of this page to renew your membership. A few minutes of preparation first will make it quick and smooth.
Membership Dues 2026/2027
Before you register or renew, decide two things: your membership level, and how you will pay.
1. Choose your membership type and tier
Select the tier (HBT, A, B, C, D, E, or F) that matches your household's gross annual pre-tax income. Open your membership type below to see the full chart.
Family Membership
Includes membership for two adults and all children through the age of 22 in your household.

Optional funds
Sustainability Fund: a long-term reserve for major building and operating needs. Suggested amounts are in the charts above.
Security Fund: helps HBT prepare for evolving security needs. Participation is entirely voluntary.
Alternative dues
HBT welcomes everyone, and we do not want money to keep anyone from belonging. We also ask every member to pay an amount that fits their financial capacity. If your household does not fit one of the tiers, enter the amount you are able to commit to. What you pay is confidential. Questions? Contact Laurie Spackman at LSpackman@templehbt.org.
2. Decide how you will pay
- ACH/eCheck: takes the payment directly from your bank account. This must be set up before you register or renew.
- Bill to my account: choose this if you will pay by check, through your bank's bill payment system, or as a charitable distribution from a fund.
Why no credit card?
Credit card payments involve a 3% fee, so for membership dues we do not include that option. For other donations and events throughout the year, paying by credit card is an option.
To set up ACH/eCheck first
- Log in at templehbt.shulcloud.com.
- On your dashboard, click the tile called My Payment Methods.
- Click Add New Payment Method.
- When it says "Select a gateway to add a new payment method," choose ACH/eCheck from the small menu.
- Click Add payment method to this gateway.
Please note: your registration is not complete until you reach the final Confirm Payment page and submit it. Need help? Call the HBT office at 617-323-0486.
Then renew
- Log in to the HBT Member Portal.
- On your dashboard, click the tile called Membership Renewal.
- Choose your membership level.
- Choose your payment method: ACH/eCheck or Bill to my account.
- If you chose ACH/eCheck, check the box to authorize the payment.
- Click Confirm and Continue.
