What "Accessibility Reviewed" Means | Temple Hillel B'nai Torah

Kavod HaBriyot

Kavod HaBriyot (כבוד הבריות) means the dignity of every person. It is a core Jewish teaching, rooted in the Talmud, that every human being deserves honor. At Temple HBT, it is how we think about accessibility: not a favor or a checklist, but part of treating everyone with dignity.

When you see this badge at the bottom of a page, it means we reviewed that page against our accessibility rules.

What we check

We design each page to work with screen readers such as VoiceOver and JAWS. That means we check that:

  • Headings are real headings, so screen reader users can jump through the page.
  • Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard.
  • Links say where they go.
  • Photos have descriptions.
  • Text has strong contrast and can be made larger.
  • The page works on a phone.

Always improving

Accessibility is ongoing work. This badge means a page has been reviewed against our rules, and we keep improving them. If you find something that doesn't work for you, please tell us.

Tell us

If a page does not work for you, please contact the office.
