About This Purim Mitzvah
One of Purim’s central mitzvot is Matanot La’Evyonim, giving directly to those in need so that everyone can celebrate the holiday with dignity and joy.
Temple Hillel B’nai Torah invites our community to fulfill this mitzvah by supporting Yad Chessed, a Massachusetts-based Jewish nonprofit dedicated to meeting the basic needs of Jewish individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
How to Give
There are three ways to support this Purim mitzvah:

Send a check to Temple Hillel B’nai Torah
Please write “Yad Chessed” in the memo line.
Give cash in the Yad Chessed tzedakah jar at HBT
The jar will be available in the synagogue during the Purim season.

PURIM is right around the corner, and we need you!
Yad Chessed is on a mission to offer more help than ever! Every year, we partner with our community to make it easy for all to fulfill the Purim mitzvah of Matanot La’Evyonim (gifts for those in need) to help our Jewish neighbors who are struggling.
From now until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, we will collect donations for our Purim Day food voucher program. Your generosity will bring delight and spread Purim joy!
Honor Loved Ones and Fulfill a Purim Mitzvah
Make a gift of $180 or more by Monday, February 23 and Yad Chessed will send up to 10 festive emails to your family and friends, letting them know a gift fulfilling the mitzvah of Matanot La’Evyonim was made in their honor.
Simply donate online, by check, or through a Donor Advised Fund, then submit your and your honorees’ information via Yad Chessed’s form.
